SOS organic cotton 6.0 oz jersey crew neck tee in natural color(not dyed or bleached). The SOS style 100 is a very durable tee that will last many years and continue to soften with age and washings Shirts are sized up to account for shrink after first washing. The natural color varies from year to year with the type of growing season experienced by the cotton.

The Oldham family has been growing cotton in Texas for more than 100 years. Our grandfather broke out prairie grass to plant cotton in the rich soil. We maintain this fertility with organic farming practices which include crop rotations and enhancing the habitat for beneficial insects. Nothing synthetic is added and nothing is taken out except cotton. From this cotton, we make organic tee shirts. SOS FROM TEXAS is pleased to offer our customers the fruit of our land in our organic cotton garments.

SOS t-shirts are made from organic cotton grown on our certified organic farms. We have been certified organic by the Texas Department of Agriculture since 1992. This certification information is provided with our products to show our authenticity. We are finding organic products in the market with very vague organic credentials. U.S. Organic Standards require a 3 year chemical free farming period before being allowed to be "certified organic".

Our cotton is planted in mid-May and harvested after frost in November. The harvested cotton is ginned at our certified organic gin and then shipped to a certified mill in North Carolina for spinning into yarn. The yarn is also knitted, finished and sewn in the Carolinas. SOS products have a pedigree as we can tell you when and where they were planted and trace their development into a finished product.
